Unified RCS Messaging Across iOS and Android Now Available Through NetLync's EaaS®

[Oct 15th, Dublin, Ireland] – NetLync is proud to announce the integration of RCS (Rich Communication Services) into its Entitlements-as-a-Service® (EaaS®) platform, now supporting iOS 18. This new functionality allows carriers globally to offer seamless, rich media communication between iOS and Android users, greatly enhancing the cross-platform messaging experience.

RCS brings the future of messaging to today’s users by offering rich, interactive, and secure communication features that go beyond traditional SMS/MMS. It serves as a bridge between standard messaging and modern apps offering users an integrated experience. Previously an Android-exclusive protocol, RCS now allows iOS and Android users to exchange messages without relying on over-the-top (OTT) applications.

To enable RCS across iOS and Android, carriers must ensure that device entitlements are in place. NetLync’s EaaS® solution simplifies this process by integrating RCS entitlements directly, allowing carriers immediate access to cross-platform messaging functionality without additional complexity.

With the RCS entitlement enabled on both iOS and Android, carriers can provide a streamlined messaging experience. NetLync’s OEM-agnostic platform facilitates this by offering a single, unified integration that supports entitlements across both platforms, reducing complexity and speeding up deployment.

NetLync's EaaS® allows carriers to self-onboard and rapidly implement RCS entitlements. Early access customers have been able to complete setup in just a few weeks, with minimal IT resources. Additionally, NetLync has introduced a new capability allowing carriers with existing Entitlement Servers to integrate RCS via EaaS® alongside their current systems. This provides a fast, reliable, and cost-effective alternative, eliminating the need to change entitlement server vendors.

We are excited to add RCS to the growing list of use cases for EaaS®,

said Emir Aboulhosn, CEO, and Co-Founder.

OEMs are increasingly relying on entitlements to enhance the digital customer experience, and it has become clear that carriers cannot achieve their digitalisation goals without entitlements.
